We basically need experienced coders or skinners.

Right now any coders who could help code units or an experienced coder to help set up the campaign game, or even people who would want to help do loading screens, fancy menu icons (although faction icons are finished).

Default I can help historically only.

    Hi folks,

Eima kala, greek for "I'm doing well."

I can't code or skin but could perhaps help w/voices. I don't even know how to do that though.

I'm willing though. If not I can contribute historically.

    O.K.? Cool.

Just as long as I don't have to have the debate about whether or not modern Greek is the same as ancient Greek again (by the way, it isn't). Though I believe there are perhaps three hundred voice samples that need to be changed, so it's a lot of work.

I know this thread is to help the mod in getting a Greek voice mod but please do not make posts in this forum in languages other than English. That's what the Barbara Taverna forum is for. Thank you.

    Default Please excuse the breach!

    Hello Mr. Trajan!

I understand what you're saying and will fully comply. :original:

Sir, btw, it's just that I don't find too many people from greece, making a greek mod and who can speak english! I'm 1st gen. greek, learned greek before english as a matter of fact.

    Thanks.

    Merged double post. - Trajan

    Hello Mr. Darksea!

Sir, my desire isn't to debate with you but just to say that if it wasn't for the greeks (my relatives) who perpetuated the greek language, dances, dress (from byzantine times), etc. during the Ottoman rule in places called "secret schools", I probably wouldn't be here.
Given the atrocities done to us, the Armenians and Assyrians, yes real Assyrians, by the turks, I say HOORAY! We made it through!

As a result, I'm proud and thankful of ALL races positive contributions, customs, etc.

I want a global perspective, not just a rinky dink greek one. I mean that.
(given that western civ. is based on greek foundations)

I'm posting to give something, not just get sir. I want to help that's all.

    Thank you. :original:

There aren't a great number of them I'm afraid, and I believe that there are many more besides them that would need to be done.

    Hellas,
I must say I've always been a Hellenophile, and I have enormous respect for Greece. I'm also quite gratified by your willingness to help us. I don't wish to get into a nationalist debate, but I do have a great deal of sympathy for the sufferings of the peoples subject to Turkish oppression and I'm glad that the - how would you say it? - psyche Rhomaion was kept alive. However I've found that Greeks can at times be a little naive about their heritage!

Anyhow, what we'd need to do is get a list of all the necessary wav files (you can find them if you're willing to trawl through the game files), translate them, and then record them.
