Default 310 B.C. by Sonny Costanzo

    Thread Closed, 310 B.C. v0.9 released:

The Mod starts (surprise!!!) in 310 B.C.
Macedonia, the Seleucid Empire, the Antigonid Empire and the Ptolemaic Empire are fighting to reunite Alexanders Empire.
Rome is a small city and has to face two main rivals: the former mighty Etruscans in the north and the tactically very modern and fast and flexible Samnites in the South.
And there is Epirus, long overlooked, but with the right leader, it has the same potential as all greek powers of this era...

    It features five new factions:
-The Etruscans (replacing the julii faction)
    -The Samnites (replacing the scipii)
    -Epirus (replacing the brutii)
    -The Antigonid Empire (replacing Dacia)
    -Massilia (replacing the Britons)

It also features many new units, that are based on vanilla models and textures.

It is not historically accurate but i tried to keep an eye on it.

70% of the mod are ready

    Very nice :
Refreshing to see someone come in here and not only come with ideas, but also the skill to bring those ideas to life!
May I suggest that you give the Egyptians more "Greek style" units instead of the "Mummy Returns"-kind of guys they had in vanilla (I hope it's not too much asked ). I think that'd really enhance your mod!

This is just after Alexander right, looking really good. You deserve some rep for this and I will certainly play it (if downloading isn't too difficult)

Any chance of a pic of the map and the factions starting positions? We might be able to help you with positioning for the period.

It looks fantastic by the way. I will be playing it. Very similar to Comrade_Generals mods, which are all fantastic.

Replacing the Parthians for the Antigonids would be the best option. The Partians only reach the regions in the map at about 200-180BCE anyway.

I think that Antigonids should replace Numidia, in 310 bC Numidia didn't exist

What is the map, is numidia even on the map you use, because the focus was on the eastern mediterranian in that time

No, judging by the factions, it's basically vanilla, set a few years earlier. BTW, what are you doing over at RTW forums?

Cocroach is right, itīs basically vanilla set a few years earlier, so that i could include Etruria and the Samnites replacing roman factions. Iīd like to keep parthia (maybe renaming it to Atropatene) since i added new units to that faction. I thought of renaming thrace to Kingdom of Lysimachus, which would allow me to keep the thracian roster plus maybe hypaspists or elite pikemen. Iīd like to keep numidia too (could rename it to Gaetulia or some desert tribe though), i have new units and someone has to put pressure on carthage...
mapwise itīs straight webbirds europa270bc with yet no startpos changes (which explains the need for your suggestions)...
