Can I edit the general/daimyo's stats for single player campaign? I tried editing the unittablestats using pfm, but the the changes only applied to custom battle. Thanks a lot

Yes you can. Use PFM to open savegame. Go to World/Faction Array/Faction/Character Array/Character. Search for the general. Newer units are usually at the bottom of the list. In the Character table, in the third row, it should read "General".

Open the table further by going to Character/Character Details/Campaign Localisation. In there, it should show the general's name as the last section of the string. Open up all three Campaign Localisation tables to make sure the complete name is correct.

If you found the desired general, open further the Character Skills table. The first entry is for the skill points that are currently available to spend for that particular general. The second entry is the level of the general. Generals have a total of 60 points they can spend before getting every attribute maxed. So far, I've edited up to level 6 generals. It might go higher. I haven't tried.

All that detail I went into and a simple incompatible app stops you from trying to dig a little further?
