Due to the high rate of private messages and public requests concerning the availability of Ages of Darkness 1 - we have
a) updated post#1
b) included new information into post#1
c) removed outdated upload-procedures (post#1)
d) ...and finally we added a download-link of AoD1 once more. That inlcuded the main version (part B) and the patch (part C)

Since some some User are still interested in playing our old part 1 we will re-fresh the upload-links of AoD1. (most likely next week)
With a new version (V1.2 so to speak) I could add maybe some more of our new graphics and some of our new units(!) quickly.

Finally I will make a public request to push us from "mods in development" to an active roman timeframe mod. It seems somewhat unfair to me that we have a finished product and are still classified as "mod in development". Of course Ao2 is under construction - however part 1 has been released years ago. What did other Users think about it?

It's a good idea to implement, as the mod deserves it. The fact that the second version (AoD2) is under development and Aod1 is released deserves to be in the released mods area. Also looking frward for Aod2 as it's great from what was revealed so far.

I have never tried the first part but you realese the new part with updated graphics and even new units I will be more than happy to give it a try

And yes, getting to the released mod section of the forum would be more just in this case and it may even attract new fans to play AoD1 (I would not wonder if most of the poeple on RTW forum do not know about it existence) and maybe even some modders to help with AoD2. Just do not forget to ask for front page anouncement after the rerelease.

Thanks for the upload, works without issues. I've always loved this mod, I prefer this to Invasio Barbarorvm mods which are great, but to me a little to demanding and time consuming (in SAI you start with 93 regions

). Although this mod isn't as detailed and complex as the IB mods, it retains the simplicity of vanilla BI and vastly improves all its features.

One error I've noticed, Salona has no port, even though it shows in map_regions.tga, it isn't in game. I think it's because the terrain isn't flat enough where the port should be. Also too many brigands show up imo, it's very annoying.
