    Default "System Standby Failed"

This all started randomly after I got my laptop out of standby and tried to use the internet. It wasn't working and it turns out my wireless is disabled...for no reason. If I try to enable it the computer thinks for a bit and nothing happens. It doesn't become enabled. Now when I try to put my laptop back into standby it won't and gives me this message:

So, what do I need to do? Do I need to update like it says?

uninstall the wireless driver in device manager and install the latest one, that would be the best way to go about fixing this problem

The driver in question is in use so that's why the system can't go in stand by. Do what Jake told you uninstall, restart and then reinstall the driver.
