Default ACBI 1: User Reviews Topic (Quiz)

    USER REVIEWS TOPIC

You can post your impressions about the Mod here and they be a very important resource for me and an user review for those who haven't played the game yet.
I would especially be interested of answers to the following questions:

1.How much do the quality of skins matters for you when playing a Mod?
2.When playing RTW you aim to evolve in the same way that the faction historically did or want to do more even with a faction which had great historical achievements?
3.What counts more for you: historical accuracy or gameplay?
4.Do you think I should start improving the vanilla 1.5 too and add BI's features to it?
5.Is there anything you thought should and could really be improved and I didn't handled? [I will, if you tell me what is]
6.What [starting] historical inaccuracies are making you angry in my Mod and what suggestions of historical improvements do you have? [starting means that my Mod doesn't handle and guarantee a historical development of factions during the gameplay]
7.What faction you spotted as having a bad gameplay in ACBI? Why do you think is the reason?
8.What do you think about the Roman Foederati system (unrealistic?/useless?) ?
9.Do you miss the Romano-Brits and Roxolani? Should I add them back and cancel the idea of Gupta Empire and Chinese faction ?

    1. Quality of skins is very important to me.
    2. I play more or less historically acurate, for example playing as Parthians I attack the seleucids and conquere the iranian plateau...
    3. Historical accuracy AND gameplay
    4. Would be great, but I suggest you'd wait with this untill your BI mod is finished.
5-8. Didn't played your mod yet.
    9. Don't cancel the idea of Gupta Empire and China!!! :original:

#1 skins are important since its always frustraiting when a unit randomly changes appearance
#2 playing historically does nothing, when i played as the celts i conquered britain from the romans
#3 fast and fun gameplay is essential but it is good to be able to pause and admire historical accuracy.
#6 warhounds too expensive, barbarian units should be bound by loyalty to the general so after the general who recruited them dies they should disband unless their is a suitable general of influence to replace him. otherwise no upkeep needed they should live off the land

1)The quality of skins are somewhat important to me, but i prefer more units, better battles, less casualties in battles, more factions, more provs(but not too much).
2)I play however i want to play.
3)You can have them both, you dont need to sacrafice gameplay fot historical accuracy
4)No, most people play BI now. And there are plenty of RTW mods.
9)Cancel the Chinesse, that wood make the map too big and we wood have a whole Asia with just rebels, and its too much work. Get rid of the Roman Rebels and add in Armenia and maybe another Eastern faction.
Under the patronage of Rhah and brother of eventhorizen.

I only started download and the only thing that I didn't quite like is the 0 turn, anyway that's a small issue since I can change it back.

Maybe as a suggestion, make the core troops 1 turn and the foederatti 0 turn.

    Review:

    1. Skins - as long as not too bright like vanilla RTW/BI I'm ok.

    2. My idea is always alteranate history. A game for me is our 'time machine', the only way to change history. I like historical base game like RTR, but I don't play my game according to strict history.

    3. Historical accruracy at start of the game + gameplay for overall

    4. For RTW ? Maybe help me port RTR 6.0 gold to RTW 1.5 ( ). Seriously there's too many mods for vanilla already like RTR & EB htough none yet uses the latest patch of 1.5/1.6

    5. Have'nt played yet but will give comment when my game is up and running

    6. Same as above

    7. Same as above

    8. Same as above

    9. I never played (or finished) other faction than Romans so I don't really mind. But I like the idea of romano-british, they're kinda like 3 roman faction (after east and west)

    Cheers..

    1. Guality of skins is very important for me. All is important for me, that gives mod its own unique atmosphere.
    2. Both ways. Every new campaign is different than previous.
    3. Historical accuracy counts a lot at start, gameplay has a total importance.
    4. Come Your own way, but I wish AoD TW series will be alive through long years.
    5. Hordes unit lists must be improved. It's nothing interesting in playing as horde with 3 unit types (at least 8 is good). And some more units in barbarian factions (unit lists taken from vanilla BI is poor for this great mod).
    6. All's good.
    7. From my another post: "the saxon fleet at the start is crazynumbered, bankrupting this faction lethally within a few moves and destroying the naval balance in the north seas 'till the end of campaign. But this may be easily fixed."
    8. Don't realise yet, but if it works so let it be.
    9. Chinese? Seems it's out of theme. Your idea and work with Gupta Empire is incredible, I'm happy with it! And maybe... Yes! Sogdiana! Of course!

Thank You for Your brilliant work!

1.How much do the quality of skins matters for you when playing a Mod? Quality of skins are important, though originality and uniqueness are more important.
2.When playing RTW you aim to evolve in the same way that the faction historically did or want to do more even with a faction which had great historical achievements? Trying to play a faction according to history is boring, and it ultimately defeats the purpose of the game, which is to rewrite history.
3.What counts more for you: historical accuracy or gameplay? Historical accuracy is great, but leave that to MODs like RTR and EB. Gameplay is far more important.
4.Do you think I should start improving the vanilla 1.5 too and add BI's features to it? Just make sure BI's features are available.
9.Do you miss the Romano-Brits and Roxolani? Should I add them back and cancel the idea of Gupta Empire and Chinese faction ? Keep Romano-Brits, but get rid of China. They're a little useless in the wide scope of things.
