    Icon5 New Officer Models

    New question in post #5.

Is it possible to use different models for officers? In DB Editor, under Unit Stats Land Editor the only models you can use for officers are in a drop down list. Is there another table, or file I can add models to so that they show up in the drop down list? I would like to create Officers, standards, and musicians that are unique for unique created regiments. I hate having the basic command group wearing different uniforms and colors from the rest of the regiment. Thank you.

Yes you can make anything into an officer from what Ive read. Read the tutorials for DB editor etc, probably just have to copy the details of a vanilla officer and change its textures models etc.

you can assign a new model to a new officer in the battle_personality table.
The Model also needs entries in the warscape_animated_lod and warscape animated tables.

Working on this has brought up another problem. I tried to give the United States their own General's Body Guard Unit (because I created a General model just for them). The unit came out fine, and can be trained at the various barracks buildings like normal. I also disabled the generic euro bodyguard, so they cant be trained at the buildings. However, when I click the recruit General button underneath the replenish troops button. The General's bodyguard that is created is the generic euro bodyguard. How do I change it so recruited US Generals use my new unit, instead of reverting back to the old one? It must be possible because their are multiple different types of Generals Bodyguards in the game.

check agent_culture_details table, there you can assign a general unit to a general agent. But you can have only one "general - agent", means also only one unit for all generals which are recurited via the button.

That really sucks. I guess recruited Generals will use the old unit then. I'll just have to live with having to train the unit to get the new General unit then. I'll just make the General's unit recruitable at all military buildings, so I can get them from the beginning.
Another option, I could disable the recruit General button. I don't think that would be too bad.
