The Ottoman Army encamped on the main road to Constantiople at the City of Xanthi assemble in battle formation and at the signal of the Sultan, begin advance towards the Crusader camp. They remain on a hill outside the camp and await the Crusaders to assemble for battle. Mehter is played in the background by the group accompying the Yeni Ceri (Janissaries). Sultan Murad II and his Quakpulu stare down at the camp, watching for movement.

Your make up looks fine to me Rose... Except for the bombards as Im fairly sure we decided not to have field artillery play a part in the rolls at this time...

Ill let LW have a look and comment before kicking this off...

    Thanks

Looks good to me, except I don't think the Turks should get any bonuses

Their generals sucked in this period, they only counted on sheer numbers and the malicious men which filled the ranks

Men we have fought long and hard for gods will and he has blessed us with victory. Tonight we dine in constantinople and in honour of our fallen brethren we shall drink to their names
He than turned his eyes onto his faithful squire whom he had been watching during the battle, though Peter was far from the best fighter Michel saw potential. Lord Elphinstone called Peter over to him

Okay, asserting that stildawn is a biased mod is a pretty serious assertion. Since the Mods make every effort to be neutral. Would you please pm me the reasons for your belief in that.

As to the battle itself, i shall discuss it with the other mods.

ic: John Wright gulped at the sight of the enormous army. Grasping his bill in both hands he looked around him, taking some comfort in the presence of the brave band of Scottish crusaders he had grown to know so well. As the Turks approached he muttered the only prayer he knew and thought of his wife and baby who were with the baggage train. He waited for Elphinstone to give orders...

John watched in awe as thousands and thousands of men stepped forward, recognising archers from England and Wales with their distinctive longbows, crossbownmen from Italy, positioned behind great wooden shields, and all the others of all nationalities. As they all loosed almost in unison there was a deafening twanging sound, heavy bolts and arrows speeding up into the air.

John was glad he was on this side.

Volley after volley the ottomans were still on the march determined to crush the crusading army they were getting pretty close the to frontline of the volleying archers, Michel ordered the archers to retreat onto a hill just behind them to continue the volleys. An order arrived from Lord Elphinstone for infantry to make a general advance

Okay, i've removed the posts concerning things from this thread. This thread is for the rp battle between the ottomans, and the crusaders. I'm only going to warn you once to keep it on topic. The other mods are looking into it.

Peter rushes over to where his master was. He had heard the man call him and he was not going to Disappoint the noble Lord. He saw that the ottomans where being cut down by the arrows and smiled.. He had killed some of those men and he was happy that he did so. He approached his noble lord and kneel before him

Yes Noble Lord. I wish to say first
.Thank you for allowing me to be your squire I will fight with honor and never retreat despite overwhelming odds against me. I will fight to the death and kill as many Turks as possible. The Turks or ottomans as they now like to call themselves now. Stand no chance against the forces of the one true god that is our lord . They should bow before our lord before we kill them. But that is just me Master.. I wish to see the Turks see the errors of their god and how our god is the one true god "

Peter took a deep breath and let it out slowly " What do you wish for me to do My Noble Lord ? "

2 knights gather Michel's plate armor, slowly dress him for battle.
We are out numbered 3-2, so if we are to win this war we are all to fight!
Bring me my horse, and bring him one too

    Michel smiled

Peter listened to his noble lord. He already had on the armor that was to be use to protect himself in battle. He whispered a prayer to God and hope that god allowed him to live in the upcoming battle.

    "
My Lord I believed that only our Calvary is needed for the assualt on the flanks. The Ottomans will not Suspect that we will do such a thing. Some of the men i recruited are pretty good with attacking from the flank. We should bring them with us in case the ottomans bring more troops to the flank. I also think we should bring the baron with us on this assault on these men. The ottomans or turks whichever they are now.. They will be focused on the main line and not the flanks.. We should strike hard and fast "

Peter took a deep breath and let it out as he hopped onto the horse. He had gotten use to riding horses now and that surprised him. But then again he had god on his side which made anything possible. He looked around at the men that he recruited for his Lord. He remembered what his lord said and smiled. perhaps things where indeed looking up for him and his family

" When shall we go Noble Lord ?. when are we to meet the flank of the turks so that we may Slaughter then and bring them into the fold of the one true faith ?. So that they may see that their Religion"is nothing but a lie and false. And that if they convert to our Religion they will be better off ?. When will we teach the turks that their god will not protect them in battle like our god will ?. " Robert asked in a voice that told others that he had true faith in god and his war against those that believe in their false gods

Peter listens to his master and smiles. Indeed he was already talking about prisoners where their where none to begin with. But what does that matter. He had hope that their will be prisoners and that they will be force to covert to the Christian Religion or face death and Damnation in Hell. but he pushed those thoughts away from his mind and looked at the men that he recruited that sadly he would not lead to battle just yet.

" Sorry noble lord I was thinking ahead and knowing that our god will give us victory and prisoners. Their god is false and they should covert to our faith. But we know they will not do such a thing. I wish to make a speech to the men that I have recruited. May i do so noble lord before we commit them to the battle for our god against those Turks ?"

Peter looked at the men he recruited. He knew that most of them will either die in combat since most of them do not have any training. But it was worth the risk as they will fight on behalf of god and that is the most important thing a Christan can do. He hit his horse in the side slightly to make it move to the side of his noble lord as he awaited his response

Peter listened to his Noble master words. He was right their was no time for a speech to the men that will put their life on the line in the name of god. Peter already on the horse that his master allowed for him to get from the stables kicked it in the side and watched as the horse moved quickly over to the men that he recruited. Their he did a small prayer for them and whispered small words of encouragement and then went back to the side of his noble master

" Alright Noble Lord the men are ready to die in the name of god against these blasphemy Turks and their false god in which they worship. They wish to see the blood of these Turks spilled onto the battle field and their religious leaders killed because they preach a false god. But that will come on another day.. Although it would be wise for these false god worshipers to say a prayer before they are killed in the name of the one true god Lets go noble lord and fight on behalf on of our Lord And one true God ! "
Peter said in a voice that was filled with hated of the Turks and strong belief in his religion

Peter looked towards the battle field and did his cross and said a prayer to god. He will need all the strength and courage that god can give him in order to survive this battle and win the day with his noble lord
