NTW crashes to desktop at all battle loading screens. Any solution suggestions?

I bought a new laptop and napoleon recently did all the downloading required but every time i try to run any kind of battle the game crashes to desktop at the battle loading screen.

The campaign map works flawlessly and there is no other problem within the game. Ive looked around and nobody seems to be having the same issue. I was wondering if it was perhaps the graphics card which doesn't have suitable drivers but they are up to date.

I've tried putting the graphics both low and high, updating the drivers of the graphics cards, a full reinstall, verifying game cache and updating DirectX and I'm getting a bit frustrated to be honest.
If anybody has any idea what i should be doing to resolve the problem id be really grateful.

Do you have napoleon.exe pointed to the graphics chip in Nvidia Control Panel?

I feel your pain. EXACT same problem I have similar specs, not quite as good, new Dell XPS laptop, i5 proc, GeForce 550, 6 MG Ram, Win 7 64 bit. . Game did once work for an hour or two; I thought I'd solved problem by stopping start up apps and anti virus and greating bigger page file. But crash returned. Updated drivers with most recent Dell recommended, killed start up apps, confirmed running game thru vid card, etc. Have very good frame rates on Campaign map. But crashes at battle load. GeForce issue? Win 7 64? I have a feeling if you find a solution, so will I. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

aye mines a dell xps 17 im thinking it might be the graphics card mightnt be supported and perhaps the best idea is to contact CA themselves see if they have a solution. Just posted here first to see if anybody was having similar problems. Nice (or not) to know that im not the only one. Symptoms are exactly the same as yours but i didnt even get the 1/2 hours first.

CA told me to update video drivers. I did, (and audio and BIOS) but same problem.
