Although I do not personally know how to do that, I did find this page.

    http://www.ghacks.net/2010/09/02/mov...another-drive/

And if that fails, maybe try moving some non-Steam stuff to your E drive?

I guess all that could be left to do is uninstalling some unused items, to try and free up some room.

And/or you could try fragmenting your hard drive, might get you a bit of room, though not much.

You can move steam with no issues. I personally have steam on my D (secondary) drive. Have had for over a year and have 100+ games (which explains why it is on my D drive..........)
    What I did is:
    1. copy and paste your steam directory to the new drive (the whole thing!).
    2. uninstall your steam client.
    3. reinstall steam pointing it to your new drive and the same directory that you just copy/pasted.

    Worked for me...

Edit: Sorry I didn't look as closely at the link that ACE provided....I did the above and it still worked but just in case you might want to to it their way just to make sure.
As long as you have a copy of your steam folder with all the games somewhere you will not loose anything....
If something doesn't work just drag/drop your backup steam folder to your new installation of steam and your back in business.

If you copy and paste the entire steam directory to your other drive you have your backup.
    Uninstall steam by:
    1. Left click start button
    2. left click control panel
    3. left click uninstall programs
    4. scroll through list and find steam, left click it once to highlight and select the uninstall option.

Copy/paste the entire steam folder.. When you reinstall steam it will overwrite anything that is redundant.

Just a warning, if you have any games installed, it'll take a long time.

    EDIT:

    A loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time.

While this is VERY true, it is beans compared to re-downloading and installing everything.
My steam directory is 319,661 files, 13,706 folders and 458 GB. That basically would translate into drag/drop, shutoff monitor and walk away for a day or so............

I doubt mods should cause any problems, and should simply be transferred along with the other files.

Mods are no problem at all. As AceMcKillYoFace stated above....all will move together so no worries!

    Moving is easy....................

Just transfer the entire Steam folder to the partition you want and delete the file "clientregistry.blob" and then sign in to Steam and it will go through and fix everything up for you. It will work as I have done this several times now because of moving to a better partition and finally another larger hd.
