When I use my diplomat to negotiate something between another faction, sometimes I have the option of "Become protectorate". I'm not sure if that's spelled correctly, but what does it do?
Why do the rebels only have the option for "bribe" when you try and talk to them with diplomat?
Does fire at will only work when my men are standing still?
Horses have a charge bonus, how does my attack differ when charging, rather than standing still when an enemy attacks?
Sometimes I zoom up on battles, and one of my Hastati stabs a Gaul Warband, yet he still lives, why is that? Same with archers, their arrows hit, because I see the guy flinch, but he doesn't die, yet the unit as 1 hit point... what gives?
Other than frighten the enemy, what do fire arrows do?
If I want my Hastati to throw their Pila at the enemy before engaging, how do I do that? For some reason, no matter what I try to do, my Hastati just charge in without even throwing.
Is it just me, or does it seem that the Pila do more damage than arrows...
Whether my unit scale is Huge or Small, does it make any difference towards the battle itself, or does it just reduce the amount of units on the battlefield for both teams, therefore reducing lag?
The gauls seem to 'Taunt' alot, what does that do to my men?
Why do my stupid Hastati rout, when they only lost about 20 guys out of 160? If they didn't rout they could win the battle.
I often have about 5 or 6 generals in my army, is there any easy way to see if any of my generals have died, while in battle? Because when I win/lose the battle, and it goes to the campaign map, sometimes it doesn't show the "Heroic death" thing.
With my generals, I often have them lined up, in 3 rows, as I'll show below:
^^^^^^ ^^^^ ^^^^
^^^^^^ ^^^^ ^^^^
^^^^^^ ^^^^ ^^^^
Yet when I want to move them further up in the battlefield, I double click on the ground where I want them to move, then I click spacebar to see where they will end up, and the formation is always messed up, sometimes it overlaps eachother, sometimes they end up very far apart, but is there a way to keep the formation I had (like above), rather than having to pause, and individualy reform the generals how I want them to be? It's such a pain.
Why do my Hastati all look the same, especially their faces. It seems like a clone war![]()
Why did my 12 year old daughter just marry some 40 year old guy?
And what is that little green square below my name?
