Default AOEIII Refuses to uninstall, tried REGEDIT

A while back, I attempted to install a mod for the game Age of Empires III. I failed, so I uninstalled the mod. Afterwards, AOE still played, but when I opened a battle, it would say something about the AI being missing. When I tried to uninstall it, it would start running, but close itself before the actual process began.

I think I got all the files on REGEDIT, but still, when I run the game disk it still claims that it's installed. Any ideas on what to do now?

You most likely have to uninstall and then re-install the game, because it sounds like some of the core game files were unintentionally deleted when you uninstalled the mod. If you've got any active savegames, make sure to back those up, unless they're old saves that you don't intend on playing anymore.

The uninstaller doesn't work, as I said in the original post.

See if any of the entries are left in the Installshield/uninstaller folder.

Try revo uninstaller, it can uninstall a program even without a functioning uninstaller.
