Don't know where to start! Please Help!

As the title says, I'm kinda lost here. I just saw 1.4.4 on moddb, And I mean... I've downloaded a bunch of stuff and my game crashes... Can someone just tell me what i'm supposed to download first and how and the links? Would be greatly appreciated.
And yes, I now have a full clean version of Medieval 2 and kingdoms.

I always wondered, where the people are looking at and how some can't understand the most basic things. How possible hard is it to scroll downwards on that page? And wow, what a surprise! There is a full step by step instruction on how to install....

EDIT: I downloaded the torrent and put the folder from the torrent into my mods folder, And I made the shortcut and everything, But then after the loading screen it says "Unspecified Error" And it exits.
EDIT: C.ryo, I just noticed it only crashes rarely, And that was my first start with the mod, The second time it all ran smooth. Now, I must ask since I only downloaded the english 1.4.4 full complete torrent, What I need to get the voices, sounds, and music for it, Since the campaign generals have french voices for the chaos.

Then you made something incorrectly. 1.4 is the most stable version of the mod and there are no Unspecified errors upon the startup. Make a clean Install of Medieval 2 + Kingdoms, both fully patched, then try again.

Did you disable your UAC and delete your VirtualStore?

Alright. Also, ever since I ran it, My computer has been lagging insanely. It's obviously not my specs. Also, Could I just download the full english 1.4.4 torrent all by itself? Like not including the other patches, JUST that one torrent?

Yes, all you have to do is download the 1.4.4 English torrent. Nothing else. Do NOT try and install any patches afterwards.

If I'm not mistaken, custom sounds have yet to be made for CoW. Although, I do remember quite a few submods back in the day that gave the factions more appropriate voices. (Silvania got the Eastern Europe sound set ect.) But, I'm not sure if any has been made compatible with the latest version.

I have one last question... Where do I download Hotseat and how do I use it? :S I tried it with the original Medieval 2 unmodded, And I couldn't get it to work
