Installation Problem

I have looked at the previous pages of this section and never saw anyone else get this. I moved the six files/programs that I downloaded into the RTW Gold section in:

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\rome total war gold

I then double click on the RSII_setup.exe and it gives me the following message:

Windows Installer
This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.

I click "OK" and nothing happens. Basically it won't let me install RSII for some reason. I am running Windows XP and RTW is fully updated as well as RTW: Barbarian Invasion and Alexander. I have Steam so I copied it into the right directory but it won't install. Help will be much appreciated because I really want to play this mod but can't

You may need to re-download the installer file, might be a corrupt download

Nope it won't work. Same message appears when I downloaded it again...

Running as admin?
And you may need to try the .msi file again.

OK I downloaded the .msi file again and it worked. Now there's another problem... Every time I start the game through steam the way the install guide told me it just loads the vanilla game. When I use the launcher and say YES for Steam, the launcher just disappears, so the game still doesn't work

Scratch that. Stupid question.

What was the install path for steam?
and can you go to the following location and open the file please?
\SteamApps\common\rome total war gold" & "\LaunchSteamBI.bat"

OK I figured it out by myself now. I reinstalled in the Program Files RTW directory instead of outside it and then tyoed in the code in Steam and it worked perfectly fine. Thanks for the help though!
