    Default Mercenary Elephants?

Is there any way I can recruit mercenary elephants as Parthia?

Umm, Theres no "mercenary elephants" unit in this mod, so nope.

Mebbe it could be possible to bribe them off the seleucids but theyd come at a ridiculous price.

well if you trust this article : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_elephant

romans hired elephants some times , well not for a recrutable unit but a merc with very big time to refresh would be good

I don't trust it.Also a recruitable merc elephant would be useless, it would take up a unit slot and would be barely used.

Its a well known fact that the Romans used Elephants, they depopulated N.Afica such was their want for them.Alas I was saying I didn't trust your source as wiki ain't reliable.

Thats what certain institutions/lobby groups in certain goverments/countrys try to tell people and in isolated cases that may be true but after all these are nothing more then ad hominem attacks cause the same applys to the stuff they teach people in schools and universitys....there are hundreds of plain wrong things teached in schools and other institutions...If I would start with examples the post would fill pages...

Wiki is a very good source for the vast majority of things and each entry has to be valuated on its cohesion, presentation and the number of listed sources from where the info comes originally...regarding the elephant thingi...the wiki article lists over 50 sources which qualifies it very well up to certain extend and I can see no reason to dismiss this info...

As well you should ask yourself what the truth really is...sometimes the truth is not common belief...In the past people got burned for heresy if they publicly stated that the world was round...and we all well know by know that these "heretics" where correct, true ?

Even serious historians might have issues or quarrels about certain aspects sometimes and may not agree on things...in these cases personally I stay with the more resonable point of view but after all all knowledge most of times is provisional until you learn something new...In fact there is no absolute truth as one keeps evolving all the time and answers may change over time,so do the questions...

Todays school systems all over the world teach a lot of filtered info and very often burry the truth under a crapload of lies to make their own past look better and/or fit other doctrinal/religious concepts (especially true for the 19th-20th century history)...
