    Default Arranged marriages

So twice, in separate campaigns, I have negotiated another clan to give up a daughter for an arranged marriage, but I never get prompted about whom in my clan she will marry nor do I see her on my clan's family page. I get the diplomatic bonus, so that's cool, but I don't know if this us a bug or I'm missing something. (yeah, I know that's two clueless posts in a row for me *shame*)

As I've seen it, you can arrange marriages even if the only available son is not of age yet. Not certain if these show up or if its a bug. If you have a son of age already and not yet married it should work and she will show up.

i have some prompts, not sure what triggers them (usually get a "good wife" attribute). You can manually marry daughters to generals in the clan management.

I have arranged marriage several times but none of the daughters EVER show up.

The only time it showed up was when my son was of age and she did. Otherwise they would disappear.

Surely this is something most people are experiencing

Well, that confirms what I suspected. We probably should not be able to offer marriage until we have sons of age. Thats a bug, albiet a minor one. Maybe for now, avoiding arranging without an of age son.

I could never get any marriage other than if i was offering a daughter :/ just assumed it was another busted TW diplomacy option to ignore.

    Will keep trying.

I'm not sure about the underage son - marriage thing, but when you marry a gal from another clan, she will (or at least should) be in your family tree with her originating clan symbol in the corner of her portrait.

right but that only occurs when your son is of age and then subsequently married.
    Otherwise, she does not appear.

Hell after a few turns you even forget she exists

Maybe they are considered as a concubine and thus, not 'officially' married to you.

I think it's because that daughter is going to someone else within the clan (ie. retainers and advisors).

Like how a son can marry the daughter of some stranger we never see in the clan

Check the faction tab under family records. U will see something like "XXXXX married to a retainer in your clan".

Back then kids got married pretty early -- 13-14 was common to have arrangements made, so.... "underage" is relative.

I've had one where as a peace settlement I demanded the Ouchi Daimyo's daughter to marry... my son was under age, and I haven't seen any sign of a princess.

As the others have said if you don't have an Available (has come of age and isn't married) son the marriage will be to a "Retainer" and wont show

If you do have an Available son then your new step daughter will be displayed in your clan page with her Original clans logo in the top right corner of her portrait

read the explanation of diplo marriage in encyclopedia.. they are married off to another clan member

it isn't obvious since the tooltip says both clans need eligible members, when it should just say one of the clans require a daughter of suitable age to be married

what i would like for marriages though, is a tooltip over the bride to be that shows what her attributes are (fecund, loyal, pretty, etc). sucks to get a new bride that lowers loyalty, reloading is cheesy, and well, you'd imagine there would be some discussions and learning about the bride before the damyo arranges the union with his son
