    Default Campaign lag

Ok so my laptop has always run fine with mtw2, rtw and empire and then all of a sudden i cant load empire and for mtw2,rtw the campaign map is very laggy.as in the characters skip around instead of a smooth fast movement, but the weird thing is that i can play battles just fine. My laptop meets all requirements and ive always been able to play total war on it just fine. If anyone knows what i can do to get rid of the campaign lag please help

Press the spacebar during movement? If it is not that simple, perhaphs you are using an ATI video card, I read about something similar on the AMD forums - have a look there

    Moved to Tech help.

If it just started, have you installed anything new?

Run a deep scan for viruses, malware, adaware, etc.

Run disk cleanup and defrag your harddrive.

Open the case and use a can of air to clean the dirt out.

Monitor yout temps and voltages in case something hardware is getting too hot or power supply's output is not there anymore.
