Default Does my computer needs glasses?

I downloaded all drivers in my new-build computer, installed Windows 7. Everything works fine. I am booting from HDD:/c:. BIOS indicates the HDD as the first boot drive.

However, at start-up my computer tells me that it can not find my HDD - does it needs glasses or is there something I forgot?

    Any help is appreciated.

Do you have more than one drive installed?

Yes, I mean removable flush drives.

However, I may have found the reason why the disc is not detected although being used by the system.
On the same loading page, it says IDE instead of SATA. Could this be the reason?
If yes, I have to figure out how to change this in the BIOS.

There is no way to change this in the BIOS. Either the disk is IDE or SATA - that is an immutable truth.

Could you give us a more detailed system spec for your computer? As you don't have access to that harddrive we can't use DxDiag so we'll have to trust that you know exactly what hardware is installed in your system.

This is an IDE connection. This is a SATA connection.

Can you confirm either way what brand and model # drive you have and what connection is used? Thank you and good luck!

Did you build the system yourself? Are those drives (both HDD and DVD) SATA? Did you make sure to place the HDD to a lower SATA port than the DVD-ROM - i.e. HDD to SATA 2 and DVD to SATA 3 for example?

Yes, I build the system myself. Will check the SATA connections today. Frankly, I did not pay much attention to were I put the connections.

The system runs fine on Windows 7 with my 3 120MM fans keeping everything nice and cool. Except for the motherboard CPUTIN which flip-flops between 0 and 64 degree Celsius. Do you know any reason why this happens?

    Try this method:

Windows Key + R>Type CMD then Enter>Type diskpart then Enter>Type list volume then Enter>See if you HDD shows up there. If it does, see if it has a letter associated with it. If it doesn't have a letter, type: select volume <volume # here> and hit enter then type: assign <drive letter here> and hit enter.

The one without a letter. See if a HDD shows up that's the same size as your HDD, and select that one, then assign it a letter. I've had this problem several times on Vista/7
