turning off command bar?

How does one turn off the command bar at the bottom of the screen during a battle?

I want to have the map at the top right corner and Unit cards at the bottom

Go to preference.txt in your RTW folder, and then find this MINIMAL_UI:FALSE, and then change it to true. When you do this you have the little one and by pressing F5 and F7 you can turn off the map and unit cards.

Might also note:

F6 will pin unit commands and formations.

F2 & F3 will zoom in and out of the radar map.

Ctrl-T increases 3x games speed on/off

Additionally you can remove the annoying green unit markers by setting it to FALSE in the preferences.txt as well

Off topic now.... but that's great if they help you. For me the extra bright highlighting when a unit is selected and the Big Bouncing Flag is enough, anything more takes away from the astetics.

oh and I was incorrect above you have to set remove markers to TRUE not false. Personally I wished we had an option of having the old right click transparent pop up command menus like in shoggy and medieval, but I'm getting used using more hot keys now with the minimal UI.
