You'll need to run it as administrator.

I had the same problem. Thank you for offering a solution. However I want something to be clear. Will running the installer again, in admin mode fix the problem. Or should I make a clean install?

If you had the same problem then running the installer again in admin mode fix the problem and no need to a clean install since you had installed nothing. The way that megalitho have proposed works too.

But if you want to use admin mode then you could fellow this instructions and BC installer will automatically work with admin privilege (work with any program of course):
    1) right click on BC installer
    2) choose Property (Picture 1)
    3) then choose the compatibility option (Picture 2)
    4) finally check the admin privilege and click OK (Picture 3)
now when ever you run BC installer it'll work in admin mod.

or simply disable UAC (User Account Control), but I don't recommended, it make your system less secure.

I donīt know of this admin problems but: If you want to get sure, reinstall medieval2 to your computer and donīt use "C:\program files\".
