Ever since I reinstalled RTW a few days ago, the camera has been screwed up.

When I move my mouse forward while pressing the up arrow, it moves the same speed as if I just pressed the up key, this is not what I want. I want the camera to move faster while I do both.
When I move my mouse backwards while pressing the down arrow, it moves the same speed as if I just pressed the down key, this is not what I want. I want the camera to move faster while I do both.
When I move my mouse to the left it rotates the camera, which is what I want.
When I move my mouse to the left while holding down the left arrow, it does the same as above, I want it to rotate faster.
When I move my mouse to the right it rotates the camera, which is what I want.
When I move my mouse to the right while holding the right arrow, it does the same as above, I want it to rotate faster.
When I move my mouse to the right while holding the left arrow, it pans the camera left, I want it to pan left, and rotate right.
When I move my mouse to the left while holding the right arrow, it pans the camera right. I want it to pan right, and rotate left.

And how do I fix all the other camera issues above?

Turning off restrict camera should solve the far away camera thing.

For some reason, I can't delete messages, why is that? On my screen, it tells me I posted two of the same messages, and when I tried to delete one, I couldn't, there wasn't an option for it.

u could have just hit the "edit" button on your previous post, and then added whatever you wanted to say...about your other problems, i have no idea, seeing as i mainly use general cam.

MOve the mouse to the top and hold shift and/or hold the up button to make it move faster. Or just increase the speed in the game optons menu.

I've been trying for hours on end to fix this problem. When I go to Total War style camera, when I press left or right arrow, ir pans right or left accordingly, that's what I want. However, with Total War style camera, when I double click on the ground, it changes the camera angle, instead of jumping to that spot. And I can't change that key setting on options. When I go to RTS camera, I can double click on the ground and it jumps to that spot, but I when I press right or left arrow, it rotates right or left, instead of panning right or left. General Camera does the same.

In the camera options menu, I have only the option for Total War style camera, and First Person style camera, both of which don't work because of the double click on the ground thing, which I can't change. And since I can't choose General Camera, or RTS style camera in the camera options menu, I can't change the problems it seems. I don't know what I did to make this all happen, but the fact is that it is there, and as far as I can see, it can't be fixed.

So with very much regret, I have decided not to play RTW anymore... I just can't live with that camera. This was my favourite game I have ever played, and always will be. I just find it sad that I have to leave because of the camera. I will check this thread every day, and see if someone offers a solution. Farewell...

I figured it out, I uninstalled RTW for the third time just now, and then I thought that maybe it was the mod I installed earlier last week. Sure enough, the mod probably screwed up my camera settings, so I uninstalled the mod, reinstalled RTW, and it works fine now. Thank you everybody who tried to help, I'm glad I can play again.
