katana samurai vets

I have a 5 star general, but for some reason, I can't get any katana samurai vets. I use them every battle, but not once did any of them level. I have every other type of veteran unit but not my 'backbone' of my army unit. WTF gives? I even started to use inspire ability on them also.

Do you have to get an astronomical number of kills with them or something?

who knows what the deal is with those...

I've once had 3 No-Dachi Sams each get well over 200 kills each and no Vet status for them...

Keep using them, once you get one vet, it will steam roll katana vets at you like wildfire. I have a ton of Katana vets. You'll get them eventually.

I have 9...and I am only level 8. Make sure you are not bringing any unupgraded Ashigaru units...because whatever is the cheapest unit will get upgrade first...

I had the same problem. I used Katana samurai and No-Dachi all the time and never would get vets. I started getting Vet Katana once i left a clan and joined a clan i made with Archer spec. I don't know if that's what fixed it but i got vet katana on my next game. I also level 5 when i did this. Now if i can only get No-Dachi vets.

Hmm, interesting. I think I'll try that. I'm in a Cav spec group, I'll dump it for the time being an see what happens.

You could always go into a game using nothing other than Samurai, or just boost. Never done the latter, have done the former with grenadiers.

Well, I left the useless clan, and my first battle, I got katana samurai vets. How you like that? Played a couple more, and won, but no kat vets. At least I have one now!

Glad it worked. I did a fist pump when i got my first vet katana sam.
