Question about Japanese Ships during this Era
Is the naval aspect of S2:TW fairly historically accurate? I don't know much about Japanese history and I know even less about Japanese ships and naval engagements during S2:TW's time. Playing the game has really made me curious though. Thanks in advance.

no idea how accurate things are depicted exactly, but if you look up the japanese invasion of korea during this period there's going to be a lot of accounts about naval engagements

Re: Question about Japanese Ships during this Era
Well the most famous of the ships was Nobunaga's O-atakabune (Great Big Ship), which was completely covered in iron and basically a floating fortress. The engagements would start with archer fire and end with mini land battles aboard large castle like ships. I'd say its pretty accurate

Re: Question about Japanese Ships during this Era
The battle at Miyajima (严岛合战) gives you a good idea of common tactics at the time. Typically, ships will attempt to maneuver around each other, shooting hailstorms of arrows to disorient or to break enemy formations. Then, incendiary components or explosives are often used before attempting to board.
