Default Wireless keyboard/mouse that do not require batteries?

These wires are beginning to annoy me, so I'm seriously considering going wireless. The only annoyance is, you need to keep replacing batteries, from what I can see. Aren't there any keyboard/mouse sets out there that you can charge in the same way as a PS3 controller - instead of using batteries all the time?

Thanks Tyrant - bit pricey though, aren't they? I don't suppose there's anything for the sub £40 mark that doesn't require batteries?

Edit: Solar powered keyboard though - sounds pretty cool - and it looks nice as well.

Wow. I hadn't actually looked at the prices. Why do you need a wireless keyboard anyway and I didn't think battery usage was too bad on them unless you have fairy lights strapped all over it. Battery mice however... -.-

And I have scoured the internet for many days (first page of google search "rechargeable mice". You should try this google thing, rather handy ) and found this: http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Targu...OU_867769.html
    Bit tiny though...

I have to change the batteries in my wireless mouse maybe every 6 months, possibly even longer. They really do last for a long time, it's not much of an annoyance at all

I have the Microsoft sidewinder x8, and I really love it.

It is much cheaper than the Razer mamba, which I believe is the only other "gaming" wireless mouse on the Market.

It has a magnetic charge cable, so I just plug it in whenever it needs a charge. I find it very unobtrusive. Personally I much prefer gaming with a wireless mouse as I don't like dragging the cable around.

I wouldn't personally get a wireless gaming mouse. Especially a SideWinder with the LED display on it, and extra lights, it'll wear out the batter more quickly. Plus you lose some of that DPI with the wireless. Although the recharge feature is nice.

If you're not looking for gaming mouse, my Logitech M505 is a fantastic mouse, worth every penny, and the batteries last for about 8 months. It was $25.

    .
Not sure what you mean by "lose some of the DPI with the wireless"?

The wireless technology used gives zero lag.

As for the led, firstly- it is not very bright. Secondly - it only lights up when charging or using the utility functions (macros,DPI switches), it is off most of the time.

    1) That's not physically possible. It meets more resistance traveling through air than it will through a cable. Anyways, unless you're a hardcore Counter Strike player, it won't be a noticeable difference.

    2) Still though, it helps burn-out the battery. He's looking for efficiency.

Again, checkout the M-xxx series by Logitech. Great mice.

I am using an ordinary Microsoft:

I use it with games and for surfing the net - a wireless version of this same mouse would do me fine.

Edit: So do you guys use rechargeable batteries, or ordinary ones?

Logitech Performance MX is the answer. alternately the Logitech G700. Both are mice that I use and recharge via USB. I also use the Logitech dinovo edge keyboard (great battery life). All of these are spendy however.

Nothing better than a wireless gaming mouse (laser) - Logitec - I would recommend....
It's just so much more fun without this hampering cable which always gives you some trouble - and the batteries does hold very long 3 month at least - using it a lot - and as mentioned you may even get rechargeable ones!

And take the Razer Sphex mouse pad its very thin - as paper - and does its job just fantastic!!!

hmmm... I don't know if that is advertising - but I just gave my commend on things I used/use and find them the best!

    Otherwise please delete the post.....

Nice one, I'll check them out.

Logitech Wireless Desktop MK250 Keyboard / Mouse

How about this? £17.49 for both at play.com and it has got some glittering reviews there. I'd prefer a more compact keyboard and the reviews seem to indicate this is the case.
