    Default submod thing.

For personal use, I made a 0-turn submod. To spare anyone else the drudgery of changing every units (except for berserkers and generals, a few ships and possibly some siege equipment) recruit time from 1 to 0 or whatever, I intend to upload it.

Soo... how do you upload things? Because it would take up quite a lot of room if I copied and pasted the entire file.

I have to say that I am not a huge fan of the 0 turn recruitment option. I feel it unbalances the game too much and people end up with rolls royce armies everywhere. Having said that, everyone is entitled to personalise their own mod.

And I wouldn't call it a sub-mod, more an add-on or revision. If you are only editing the export_descr_unit.txt you only need to zip it and add it as an attachment to a thread here. But you would need to make two versions; one for the Vanilla SoundMod and the other for Ihatemonday's SoundMod.

    Cheers

I am worried other players may spend the 50000 they start with, if Rome 361, on recruiting a mass of legions immediately. Though I do have an idea of how to force players not to recruit on the 1st turn...

Why? does the soundmod modify the export_descr_unit file?

That's alway possible, but then they are stuck with no money for many turns, plus it takes 4 turns to recruit Palatinae Troops.

    Yes they do.

RRAAAAGGGHHH!!! The space on my Rome computer ran out, and thus 'someone' (who knows who he is) took it upon himself to purge the computer of 'unneeded' elements. And thus completely deleted RTW, BI, IBFD and SAI. And not touching any tempoary files backups etc that I think clog up the space... anyways, this project is indefinitely postponed until I get enough download and harddrive space to reinstall. Sorry
