missing file?

hey, i just got RTW gold edition from Steam. I already had RTW, so I uninstalled it and downloaded the Gold edition. As soon as i started the game, a message says a certain file was missing: ballista_moving.CAS or something. I had a copy of the data files from RTW so i copied and pasted the file in the data file for the gold edition. When i started the game again, it said another file was missing. So i thought i could replace the data file for the gold edition with the copy of RTW, if more files are missing. Are those 2 files same? I mean, BI has a separate file, so its ok to replace the data file?

ok, just one more problem(the missing file thing is fixed,thanks)-i can only open RTW, and not BI. When i try to, it says it can't find Steam.
