    Default Trojan in LAUNCHE.EXE

    When I try to install MTW2 Kingdoms, when I launch it I automatically get a trojan. The trojan is easily removed, but still, what do I do?

    Where are you downloading M2 from? Not from a torrent site I hope....

    AVG Antivirus? If so, run it through Windows Defender.

    I have AVG and after I remove it, restart my pc and try the dl again, when I try to launch the game it pops up again. Is it somehow embedded in my disc?

    No, AVG is throwing a false positive.

    Use Windows Defender, http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro...r/default.mspx, and see if t comes up.

    AVG has been doing this for a month with kingdoms.exe.

    So I don't have a virus? AVG has said this for everybody?

    @LordBiggums
    Discs can't get infected anyways they are read only type, so virus can't affect it so like Sir Ron said it's nothing to worry about, there is no trojan.

    I know. We.ve been dealing with it for a month.

    What Irish said. False positive. BIG TIME. My computer went under and I've been using safe mode for a month. Had a friend of mine look at it a couple hours ago, get rid of AVG, and everything is working fine now. Something about AVG either continuously scanning in the background (thereby slowing everything to a complete halt), or its latest update just throwing everything into chaos.
