Default lowering corruption (file to edit)

hey so I am playing as seleucids and my capital is just east of syria and I have taken over all of egypt, parthia and most of pergammon and I notice especially in my former parthian settlements that corruption is a huge expense, like most if not all of tax income.

Does anyone know how to edit a file and lower how much corruption hurts with distance from capital?

I don't know, however increasing Law in a settlement will reduce corruption. Pretty easy to do in this mod as most factions have numerous new buildings/temples that increase law.

Hey Chris how is the distance to capital/corruption penalty calculated? By tiles? (meaning it would be worse in mods with scaled up maps?)

Those are some fair big numbers.

Yeah 68% is pretty insane and to be honest kinda unrealistic since I could understand a leader not noticing 10% but even in a far away place that much would be obvious.

Thanks for all the responses guys. That really sucks. I will have to work on more law buildings and put up with lower income I guess.

One of the major challenges of the Selucid campaign is dealing with corruption (which makes for a very interesting strategy game compared with smaller factions). Without that you are just left with the challenge of Parthia HA spam

I never really used any temples that decrease tax income byt I will have to start using the law bonus ones

Parthia gets absolutely destroyed if you can get mercenary recruitment and large forge at Seleucia and recruit armies of all babylonian horse archers and in battle use up all their arrows and then charge, I beat every army they could throw at me except when they used 2 full stacks and I barely lost.
