    Default Transition to Empire?

I haven't played RS2 in a long time, I cannot remember if the Republic goes Imperial? Anyone care to explain if it does? and when does it happen and the effects if it happens?

What about in one-turn? There is no second rebellion as I understand it. Does that mean no imperial transition?
"With a population of around a million, Rome (in Claudius' time) was a vast city even by modern standards. It is worth pointing out that during the early Renaissance the population of Rome was no more than fifteen thousand-- living amid the ruins of a civilization that dwarfed their own. It was not until the nineteenth century that the population of Rome returned to the levels it had enjoyed under the Caesars. That is eloquent proof of the fact that human history is not a tale of steady progress towards greater knowledge and achievement." Simon Scarrow

Now, with the transition to the Empire, how far does the Empire go? Are we talking just early Empire like the Principate or do we notice an eventual decline to WRE/ERE?

The game engine runs endless...but if you refer to the timescale for the victory conditions it is 100 ad..or 833 AUC AFAIR

It goes to about 106 AD, as the Roman AOR includes Dacia. There's no way you can model the decline and fall of the empire as well - we've run out of room for units as it is!
