1. Killing generals is a fair strat, actually its the most efficient way to finish a battle. You got to watch where your general going.
That said, though, spaming arty then trying to aim for opponents general's quite unfairplay with ridiculous accuracy of ranged units in this game.
2. Thats the way the Hattori plays, you can do nothing against it.
Now you know whats more frustrating? I cant even play Hattori since I own only Steam copy of the game with some shjtty extra costume for TF2, it annoys me to no end seeing people having fun with that ninja clan while I paid the same as they did.
3. Cav spamming, arty spamming, unit hiding abusing etc. reflect CA's inability to balance their games, its no surprise given their track record. They obviously gave quite an effort trying to balance multiplayer game by giving people nonsense units like loaned sword ashigaru, but it didnt work out well. Multiplayer is fun, but it lacks seriously in balancing department to the point veteran strategy players would never give its ranking board a serious consideration.
My time would better be spent on SC2, hell, even WoW arena than Shogun 2 or total war multiplayer in general. Better stay single or co-op campaign with your buddy.
