    Default RTR-PE ExtRealsm Mods

    I've had RTW and RTW-BI for 4-5 years & have thoroughly enjoyed them! Now I want to make my experience more realistic & historically more accurate, hence the RTR-PE v1.9. These last 10-14 days have seen untold misery & frustration with the ba-jillion different patches, mods, and add-on's. And without having a ton of free time to go thru ALL THE DIFFERENT download, extracting, installing instructions for each of these -- none of which are standardized -- I'd love it if someone could SIMPLIFY this complex process.

    This is what I want to play: RTR-PE v1.9 with Candelarius' Extended Realism Mod Standard Edition for RTR-PE v1.7, and his Promethean Legion Pack, and finally the ExRM 3.2.4 Patch. Now the way I confusingly understand the necessary steps, below is an unconfirmed step-by-step guide to what I must do:
    • Install the vanilla RTW from my CD. Patch it up to v1.3 then v1.5.
    • Install the vanilla RTW-BI from my CD. Patch it up to v1.6.
    • Extract RTR-PE v1.9 Full Install per the old sketchy instructions.
    • Extract RTR-PE v1.9 Optional Add-ons per the same instructions.
    • Extract Candelarius' ExRM v3.2 per those old sketch instructions.
    • Extract the 3.2.4 Patch for his ExRM v3.2?
    When I've rarely gotten to the single player Campaign Menu selection, and start a new campaign I do not get the 4-turn per year modification, obviously indicating "failure" again. HELP!!!!

    Can someone offer some advice or even better some clear, EASY instructions on how to get all these patches, mods, and add-on's to work properly? Many thanks!

    @Senni -- I did manage to install/extract all these mods into apparently the correct locations after much trial & error. I do indeed have the 4 turns per year mod working; and the Roman Leadership Mod working...both within RTR - Barbarian Invasion v1.6. However, just last night while breaking a siege on Capua against Carthage, the Carthaginian Captain failed to keep a unit of his infantry & a unit of his cavalry out of the firing range of one of my corner wooden defense towers. When the tower had killed all of the infantry except one, the game crashed completely back to my desktop. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Have to playout the entire battle again from the start!

    So there are still some minor bugs that I'm sure I will continue to find -- MORE trial & error! :-/
