    Default Borderless mode

    Is it possible to play this with the borderless mode that Stainless Steel uses?

    Quite often I'll find myself in a situation where if I wait it out, I will win, but if I move from the position, I will lose.

    Would be lovely to be able to put it onto 6x speed and then just alt tab until it is over, rather than watching nothing for 15 minutes.

    Ehm Tab Alt is working for me.

    But maybe MOS does it?

    Don't know if this would work, but maybe copying the relative lines about borderless window from the .cfg file in SS to the TATW.cfg will do the trick.

    @caldt

    I like to be able to run the program in the background without reloading it. To do so, I edited my medieval2preferencecfg file,
    which is found in the main directory. To make changes, I right click on properties, toggle off "read only" edit the file with the following changes,
    then apply and save it, then re-toggle "read only".
    By inserting the following:

    [launcher]
    autoBorderlessMode=true

    [video]
    windowed=true
    borderless_window=true

    That you have a bar with an -, square, and X in the top right corner.

    Actual Windows Manager has some amazing fixes for this kind of thing. You can also use Gamers Windows Relocator to stretch your window bigger than your resolution, so that the frame isn't visible, essentially a fake fullscreen. Actual Windows Manager can prevent windows from unfocussing (minimizing) when you move to an extended monitor with the mouse.

    Why? It smooths your game and makes alt-tabbing much faster.

    That is what it would seem like, but in Stainless Steel everything looks exactly the same. no actual window with an X.

    The only difference is that when you alt tab, the game continues to run, rather than pause.
    They did this because the time between turns is really long, but I found it useful during battles too, if you don't want to wait for years.

    I just go make coffee when I need to wait for my defensive sieges in Shogun to end again. They send in two full stacks and crush 1 with 3/4 if a stack (love those monk archers) but the reïnforcements never attack. One of the points TATW is better than Shogun 2 at. Second would be the balance (I mean C'mon, I can barely support 1 stack and I need to fight off 10 stacks from a clan that is twice as small?)

    Awesome suggestions: I was looking for ways to let sieges run till the end of timer with x6 speed (since the AI won't do anything, and I don't want to sally out and lose troops needlessly) while I surf.

    One question: Does this borderless mode decrease performance?
