    Default NEW MP Scenario Battles

I just noticed tonight that there's new "scenario battles" when one goes into MP. They include a fixed set up of units for battles such as Ligny, Austerlitz, Waterloo, with sveral combinations of number of players.

Surprized at not seeing a large announcement about this in the forum.

I played two of these, Ligny and Waterloo, and enjoyed them but both games were interrupted after a while when one of the players left.

Yeah, i just discovered this last night by chance.
It really is interesting. You have , for example, Waterloo versions for 4 vs 4 players, or 1 vs 2, etc.
Same with some of the other battles.

    The main features are that:

    a) The units are pre-determined, you do not get to choose (purchase) units when you start the game. All you get to do is decide which of the groups of units you want tyo play with (when you play an scenario with more than one player per side).

    b) The units are already set up on the map. You cannot rearrange your units position before the battle starts.

Look forward to hearing about people's impressions on this surprizing new addition to NTW.

By the way, although this is all for MP battles, of course you can play against the AI alone by simply assigning AI as your opponents when you yourself host a battle.

i didnt know this either. am surprised that they have done this as i thought CA had deserted nappy. would be nice if they done a dlc with some new units featured in these battles like the brunswickers etc.
one of my clan guys was on shogun the other day and got talking to a CA guy who basically slated nappy and said " nappy is so 2009". which kinda tells me wot they really think of nappy and more importantly the loyal fans of this game.
so am surprised with this and gives me abit of hope that they havnt entirely given up on this great game..

Quite a lot of work has gone into these scenario battles so definitively they haven't given up. Maybe most of the work was done by the community, I don't know. I believe there are some new unique units in these scenarios, but haven't studied them throroughly yet. Some of them can be played solitaire, others won't allow adding all the neccesary AI players, probably a bug, so cannot be played solitaire.

Yeah, noted. i just got the game a couple of montha ago and just disovered these a couple of days ago so I rushed to share my enthutiasm here, but now I wish I could erase this and the toher thread...

Anyway, those scenarios are great fun, wish i had gotten in earlier to play them, as now much fewer people at the lobby to play...
