Default do rebels move to other regions? build too many ports?

sometimes i don't have enough troops to keep a large guard in cities i capture--is it ok to loot, then allow a rebellion to occur when I take my troops to conquer other regions? I don't mind so long as rebels don't ever move outside their region to attack me--do they?

I am using the trade nodes for silk and other stuff; however i only have one trade partner bc everyone hates me (I try to make alliances but i am a big threat) I have several trading ports, but should I keep building more? will i still make money if i build more ports without too many trade partners? are foreign powers trading in my ports?
also should i build a military port if i don't yet intend to build large military vessels--ie do i get more trade through them than a regular port, even if i build NO ships there?

also i recently paid for an alliance , but they are already hostile again. is there a chance they may attack me soon even though they recently accepted an alliance?

When factions are willing to trade with you, build more ports and if u hover over the trade icon in the diplomacy screen u'll see if their ports are at full capacity or if yours are, if the latter and your friendly with them, add another port. Are you looting a lot? It's not very honorable and could be part of the reason other factions don't like you very much, again if u hover over the name of a faction with your mouse in the diplomacy screen u can see why they don't like you.

    - Rebels don't expand
    - Trade ports as well as military ports add to town growth even if they are not used for trade, but if you are low on cash there are better ways to spend your money.
    - Foreign powers don't trade with you, well not in a sense that other Japanese factions do. Unless u count trade nodes.
    - If u want to keep that alliance arrange a marriage, sent gifts or even stop expanding for a bit to let the 'territorial expansion' penalty reset, which should also improve your global standing.
    - Military port --again there are better ways to spend your money unless u have an abundance and there is no immediate need to protect your trade interests, but its good to be prepared.

But most importantly unless your passed realm divide. find out why the other factions don't like you.
