When do arrows stick?

Hi all,

I haven't got Shogun 2 yet. From what I've seen in previews arrows stick, which is great

I am concerned though as the when they stick: do all arrows which pass into a man stick? or do some just go through him and have no effect (this likelihood of it sticking perhaps depending on the stats of the archer unit)?

I tbh think that all arrows should stick if they pass into a man and that accuracy should dictate how close to a man an arrow will hit, rather than whether an arrow will stick or not.

Please enlighten me!

I've only seen arrow stick ones, a poor guy, last in his unit defending a castle, got about 15 arrows in his chest, all stuck.

Arrows stick anything they hit.

Soldiers, walls, ground.

But they stay in the soldiers after they die. They dont disappear.

The arrows just all missed or didn't kill him.

It looks a bit off, but I don't think kills or hit are calculated solely on the fact that the arrow physically seems to hit a target. I think the armor bonus and archer skill come into account as well.
