    In the game there are only the "renowned" knightly orders such as:

    Blazing Sun
    Encarmine
    Inner Circle
    Panther
    Morr
    The Bull
    Golden Lion
    White Wolf
    Reiksguard
    Manann (not sure if they are an order?)

    They are all "city" specific, the orders are independent from the factions. But they are faction specific if you play defensive like I do.
    Hochland gets Panther and Encarmine. Ostland gets Morr and Bull. Middenheim gets White Wolf, Inner Circle. Ostermark gets Morr and Encarmine.

    In the lore there are 50 official orders.

    Someone else please continue.

    Middenheim actually gets Panther order,not Inner Circle. Inner Circle is for Wissenland

    ok so i changed some of the "capitol knight houses" for a couple of factions, in terms of lore is it big deal or not? and also i would like to know about knights of inner circle and encarmine, which empire factions are these two orders extremely present in? the reason i switched some of theses knight houses is because they didn't fit the color of the other troops of the faction.

    since i keep forgetting the capitol name of the factions il just say the faction.

    Nordland
    Wolf
    Inner circle -> Panther

    Wissenland
    Sun
    Inner circle -> Gold Lion

    Talabecland
    Panther -> Inner circle
    Wolf

    Averland
    Blazing Sun
    Inner circle -> Gold Lion

    the -> obviously represnt the changed order house.

    so lorewise is this a big deal? and also i kind of wanted a lore savvy person to tell me the faction specific knight orders, for example the Reikguard mainly from Altdorf, White Wolves are mainly from Middenheim, Blazing Sun are mainly from Averland and so on and so forth.
    now if there is a second order house that is very present in that province could also name that one too?
    i couldn't careless if this was gameplay only but im interested in the lore as well, and no amount of googling really helped out with the questions i have.
    thank you

    note: yes i am aware the houses already in game could be a good indication but i wanted a second opinion.

    In CoW we have 10 Knightly Orders to choose from. Lore wise they are present in some regions and in others they are not. Their bases are:
    - The Knights of the Blazing Sun (Carroburg in Reikland and Talabheim in Talabecland)
    - The Knights Panther (Carroburg in Reikland, Talabheim in Talabecland, Middenheim in Middenland)
    - The Reiksguard Knights (Altdorf in Reikland)
    - The Knights of Morr aka The Black Guard of Morr (somewhere in Talabheim and Ostermark)
    - The Knights of the Gold Lion (there is no info where is their HQ)
    - The Knights Encarmine (as with the Gold Lion Order) - Games Worshop made very little background info about this Order
    - The Sons of Mannan sometimes Manaan (Marienburg and coastal cities in Nordland and Ostland)
    - The Knights of the White Wolf (Middenheim in Middenland, Talabheim in Talabecland)
    - The Knights of the Raven (Siegfriedhof in Stirland)
    - The Knights of the Bull (Wolfenburg in Ostland)

    - Inner Circle Knights (all of them because every Order has its own Inner Circle body consisting of the crême de la crême)

    so lets say i replaced Knights of Panther in Talabheim by Golden Lions, is that a big deal? lorewise of course.
    and about Inner Circle knights, so its basiccally an order that is composed of all the others right?

    It's not a seperate Order. Every Order in the Empire has it's own Inner Circle Knights so in other words you can have The Reiksguard Knigths and The Inner Circle Reiksguard Knights (which are simply superior to their brothers in arms)

    Replacing Panthers in Talabheim with Gold Lions would be, lore wise, bad but it's your call and you can do whatever you want.

    interesting, there is just one more question and then im all done
    this one is a little more technical, in unit models there are several mesh files for black_guards of morr 3 or 4 of them are in data/unit_models/_units/ and another mesh file(only 1) is in unit_models/_units/warhammer/empire/model/Order_knights/ what are difference between these two? why are 3 placed in the main folder while one of them is placed in a sub, sub folder?

    thanks a lot.
