mongol tactic
I'm kwaz and like always im getting dominated by the mongols. It is early in th egame and i was thinking of using a diff. approach seeing how they are pagan and i'm muslim. What if i swarm massive imams on lost territorys to help insight revolts. Do you think it would work?

I'm going to assume late era.
If that is truly the case, the best course of action (IMO)
is to make use of your fortifications(use stakes at the gates if you wish)
to fry the Mongols with boiling oil, and if they have siege artillery, inflict as much casualties as you
can before they get to the settlements' main square. When they finally get to the square,
have a lot of strong units there to kill them.
As for imams causing revolts, it helps. Especially if you actually make their settlements rebel...
that means they lose valuable time taking that settlement back when they could be spending that time
attacking you.

late era:
i have no gates with oil or stakes. I got lucky and killed one general but the stacks just quadroopled. They also countered my imams with massive waves of pagan priests lol. doubt ill win but ill go down fighting. Its hard to rally my troops form all over but i have one full stack that i can hopefully use to kill atleast 2 of theirs.

That tactics not going to work it seems pretty impossible to make settlements rebel nowdays, i had 9 imams converting cumans got 80% islam, 4 spies in the settlement and 3 assassins burning everything to the ground constantly, didnt even get a little riot.
Need a bit more info, but a jihad is you best option, you need to take them out before turn 10 or your going to be on a serious defensive. Send everything on the jihad,you wont go broke so i mean everything. Your main target is their cities, try and spread out their armies, dont engage with anything you cant win against.
General is always your main target in battle, without killing them they will almost never route. Spies are useful to, if you can get one in and open their gates your flying.
Your main target is NOT urgench other factions on jihad can take it, you need to keep your cities and retake theirs, they lose all their cities they die
P.s. the jihad will allow you to move all your troops to the front, p.s. not only are you outnumbered your out matched unless your fighting 2 stacks to one. The mongols have far superior troops than anything you have.

The AI have massive bonus on their buildings for law, a bit too over kill right now IMHO. a little bonus? sure , but getting like 10% law bonus for building a freaking stable? ehhhh..

i declared a jihad and was able to hold off their advance by rooting them by using my full stack against theirs, plus 2 smaller enemy stacks and winning. The movement bonus after the 3 defeats allowed me to retake my north eastern territory with ally muslim armys north of the retaken region. I thought for sure this was going to swing in my favor until the ally jihad armys turned back and went south of the newly retaken city and disapeared for about 6 turns. They didnt return until i lost the region again plus losing another northern castle. Now that i'm on the defensive again the jihad army's have returned and are circling the city. I'm barely hanging on and hope they do somthing affective because once i start doing good again or if i do i'm sure they will fail the jihad or do somthing dumb. The imams did nothing lol.

a.i. seems to get stupid when on my side. lost more then half of territory and game crashes seem to of ended this campaign.

Oh yes the a.i. has to be the stupidest companion in the world. I had to turn my garphics down to low to cope withh the huge battles lol.
Ill be very impressed if you win now, as i said if you dont win before turn 10 your not going to.

Not as great as it used to work on vanilla, for better results convert the population, use spies to cause public unrest and assasins to destroy their religious buildings and buildings that affect public order.
