    Default pny 7800 gs 256 agp tell me your opinion

    Hey,

    yes, another graphics card thread.....

    I can get a pny 7800 gs 256mb agp OC edition card for $329.00 at compusa right down the street from where I work. I could pick it up today and I'm trying to talk myself into it. what do ya think?

    I don't know what the performance ratings for it look like, but I have a PCI-E 7800 GT and I love it. If it's even slightly comparable it'll be worth it if you don't want to upgrade to a PCI-E motherboard yet.

    It's a nice price for that card. I think however that the 7800GS is terrible overpriced.

    Why AGP? Thats what I got. It's cheaper in the short run.

    I could find better prices on-line but what's a few more dollars to have it today! it's $319.00 with tax included. I bought it, I'm going to pick it up now.


    My 3.0 P4, 1024 ram, asus board and this card will keep me running for awhile. I'll upgrade to pci cards with the computer I will build 2 yrs from now.
