    Default why can't I play night goblins?

    I remember they were playable in the previous game. And I love their witchy faces too. is there any way to unlock them?

    Place in your "C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Call_of_Warhammer\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign" folder

    Thanks a lot . I know how to modify this file, but I don't know the country for night goblins

    I had CTD when choosing night goblins. May be that's maximum clan you can have in the game and can't add more?

    Which version of the mod do you have?

    Also, posting an error log will help me figure out what is the exact problem

    You can make all factions playable with the right coding. It's mainly the menu.int that limits the amount that will fit on the screen.

    i use 1.4.4 version. When I click on night goblins faction, it's CTD. Here is my log

    If you don't already have the needed descr_strat.txt file I suggest you take your backup and simply do it yourself.

    It's really simple, just remove the moors from the nonplayable list nearly at the top of the descr_strat.txt file (in data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign), and add them under the playable list at the top.
    Be sure to back the file up (again) before editing, keep the same distances and remove nothing that shouldn't be removed.

    I made a few changes to the NG faction that makes them more fun to play like adding more names, restricted Orc recruitment only in towns of certain levels (not in castles, and no elites), and making Giants recruitable.

    I would recommend you use these names (picked from the various results of a random name generator), as the vanilla names are almost all Orc names and if you know anything about Goblins they are entirely out of character.
    Extract the contents of the following attachment to the desktop, check the files in there and if you want make backups of your originals before copying the files from the extracted data.rar to the folders in question.

    I could give you the export_descr_buildings.txt file enabling you to recruit Orcs and Giants if you want, though it's far from perfect as it is (too much Orcs available), so Orcs should be recruited very sparingly and only after you have built a reasonable empire, if you want to stay with the lore anyway.

    I'm planning on releasing a strictly coding based little submod enabling Orc recruitment for gobbos, where recruitment times and availibility makes them very rare (also with the playable and names stuff of course, etc.), but that will be somewhere in summer.

    Thanks. I know how to unlock unplayable faction. But since the file just only has England, Spain... I don't know which is night goblins. The data file you gave me maybe the hint but I don't know how to use it. Also, I think you need to replace one playable faction with one unplayable one. In custom battle when I put Holly pigrim file, I can't see night goblins. So I think they restrict this faction somehow.

    That data folder just contains the files needed to add the names and surnames I picked from a random name generator, Orcish names just don't cut it.

    I made the NG faction playable without making another faction unplayable (in 1.44), but if your install doesn't allow that for whatever reason, just make any other faction unplayable with the reversed process, that should overcome this enigmatic faction limit.

    Night Goblins are Moors, just try it, it worked for me so there's no reason why it shouldn't work for you (they're not restricted, I'm sure of that).
