How to make the Grand Theogonist (pope) like me ?

Play as Middenland , I have 5 crosses at the beginning ,
even if I build church (for mission) the cross still not increase

I send a diplomat to Reikland and give the Grand Theogonist one milion money (add money) .
The pope happily accept and I still have 5 cross .

I need more cross because I want make a Crusade . Anybody know what happen with the pope ?

Middenland and the Theogonist don't like each other very much so it can be tricky to please the 'pope'.

spread the word of sigmar to all corners my child, send the priests to convert everyone not of sigmarite will, and build churces in his name everywhere you come! then might you be deemed worthy by the theogonist himself to lead the crusade into the enemy!

dunno bout this, but in vanilla i'd just gift the pope (not offer) 2000 gold and usually his attitude towards you would go up

ive tried bribing the old git and he wont have it. ive done everything he asks,ive built churches to sigmar everywhere and im still on 5 crosses too.so stuff him.

I retook the theogonists capital from chaos. He offered me promises of high reputation with him etc etc. I gave him back his city and when I checked I was still only on 5 crosses.
