Will MTW2 run on my pc?

Hi, I'm a big fan of the original medieval and shogun total war games, I am also a big LOTR fan so I thought I'd try out MTW2(gold) and the Third Age Total War Mod. However, I don't play too many games so I'm not sure if my computer could handle it.

My specs are: Intel Windows XP, Pentium 4 3.00 GHz, 2.5 GB of RAM, and a Nvidia GeForce 6200 graphics card.

If this can run MTW2, what quality do you think I can handle without a lot of lag? Will I also be able to run the TATW Mod? Thanks for the help, I certainly hope I it will work, MTW has always been my favorite game for its amazing strategy, history, and realism.

Awesome! just one more thing, do I need the gold edition or can I just get the expansion to run the mod? It's good that my PC will run it, considering I've spent less than 200$ on it, and I've found MTW2 & Expansion for 5$ each.

medium settings, but i suggest at least 4gb ram and better videocard 6200 is a very weak card

It'll run, but it won't be enjoyable during larger battles and the lack of eye candy may turn you off completely from the game. I know gameplay > graphics, but there's still a certain amount of visuals needed for immersion.

You can find a cheap video card, but CPU will bottleneck you.

If you really wanna enjoy the game, upgrade first.

The graphics card may kill the enjoyment. It's lowend even for Medieval2. The game only uses one core of the cpu so you should be good.

Ok, Graphics are really nothing much to me, I find most old graphics games more enjoyable than newer games. And I really enjoy the campaign mode, which has nothing to do with graphics. Thanks for all the support.
