Isn´t there already a "your current campaign" thread?

Anyway, My latest campaign is as Milan, and so far, it´s going terrible!
I´ve expanded way too much without consolidating properly, so now I´m under attack from all over. Which is usually great, but not when you only have had the time and money to produce maybe 3 capable field armies and rely on garrisons (what free upkeep allows) for the rest.
So I have a severly stretched, poorly consolidated empire, war or stressed relations on all fronts, a relatively poor economy (I´m not the richest yet, too much army upkeep in the beginning) and hardly any soldiers to fight against my numerous enemies on numerous fronts.

Of course, I will prevail eventually - all my colonies everywhere ensures that - and my economy is looking up after some severe army disbandings and wise investments, so there´s no peril here.
It´s just that Right Now, things are terrible and require me constantly giving my full focus to hold it all together.
Seriously, had my empire been given to an AI, it would´ve been destroyed in 10 turns or less.

Denmark,not very much expanded - got Oslo,Stockholm,Helsinki,Hamburg.Stettin,ussRiga and some french town below England.Allied with HRE,Poland,Hungary,Russia,France,England,Papal States(that arse).I buyed off Sofia city from Hungary(pretty cheap) i dont know what,but it seems like the center of the whole map,since every faction has diplomats and merchants around it(ill make a post about that).Also joined 1 crusade to Jerusalem,got there first(ofc) and got it.I have a serious foothold there,got 2 nearby rebel ctities,and got a serious foothold.Someone is constantly calling Jihads on it,so basicly my whole war effort is there.I got The Turks Egypt and the moors wanting it like crazy,so im always busy.It keeps on going.,......

Portugal.

VH/VH, Vanilla patched to 1.3

Conquered all of Iberia as well as Marakesh, Timbuktu and Arguin (or whatever that settlement next to Timbuktu is called). Forced the Moors into holding only Algiers and for some reason they called a ceasefire, I like having them there because they allow me to keep peace with Sicily who is on their other side. I also purchased Toulouse and Bordeaux and gave them to the Papal States at some point. Now, everyone loves me and I'm getting rich.
I turned everything except for Pamplona and Zaragoza into cities, Toledo is my capital and I'm centering my game around making that the center of all that is awesome in the world. Starting with sending an army of militia swordsmen off to kill the Turks, the Scots, whoever I want or whoever gets in the way, and building up their experience. I figure having Toledo and a few other settlements guarded by 9exp swordsmen militia will be a good way to set myself up for a furious war campaign when I decide to come out of my lands. Most likely I'll turtle until the Timurids take over everything.

i emerged victorius from a war against the pope and the crusades. now im moving to help my bizantine allies from turks, egyptians and hungarians. i pushed the turks back from thessalonica and now im besieging constantinople(it was capturated by a turk jihad)their only bastion on the middle of the byzantine empire. im alsom making plans for a next great war against Portugal, my vassals(france, sicily and england, milan is my vassal too but they remained loyal in the crusades against) and an full scale type blitzkreig invasion to russia.

what should i do after comquering Constantinople?continuating helping the bizantines?or going to a next great war

Current Campaign:
KGCM 4.2
H/H as France
Its going great. I own Pamplona and Zaragoza, everything north of that. Then I have (as my Eastern Border) Dijon, Marseilles, Metz, and Hamburg. I bought 3 settlements off my ally, the HRE (Metz, Hamburg, and Utrecht (or whatever)). I am allied to Milan, the Papal States, Venice, Portugal, Spain, the HRE, Wales, and Ireland. I invaded the British isles, and took London, Nottingham, York, and Exeter. Also, took Calgari early on and used it to invade N. Africa. Now own all of North Africa west of Tripoli (which I own), but Marrakesh, Timbuktu, and Arguin. I will capture all three soon, as well as Brazil .
My economy really started to boom recently, and I have 130,000 florins in the bank, as well as 4 full stack armies, 2 in Britain, 2 in N. Africa.
I'm thinking about either invading Scotland, Iberia (but Im allied to Spain and Portugal), or Sicily/Southern Italy. I can't decide at the moment. I also am considering invading Scandinavia. I will probably just do it all haha. But it is going very well, and I plan on maintaining my alliance with the HRE and the Pope for the rest of the game...the others, well, we will see

Assuming that you haven´t played any of them before: Byzantine Empire. Then Turks, then Portugal.

Portugal is powerful once you get rid of Spain and the Moors from Iberia, but the Turks and Byzzies get the Hordes right up their alley, making them more fun and challenging.
Also, the Byzantines have an almost unique unit roster, while the Turks have mostly "muslim" troops with some nice unique add-ons.

im choosing those countries due to the localization:
portugal has a nice localization to the new world, iberia is easy to defend.
turks because have three doors:Bizantine empire and the balkans, russia or going to levante and north africa.
bizantines beacuse u can too expand to three areas: balkans, asia mino

Hey mate, how is the AI turn time in this mod? I loved SS but the waiting for the AI to work killed it for me.

oh its much better for this one. I have SS too but I mostly play KGCM (this) because I got bored of the turn wait as well. I would say it is 30seconds maximum, and it doesn't increase throughout the game (like SS). So definitely better
