Aero is not working on my computer

i have a gts 250 and a dell E24WFPS 24 INCH SCREEN and the computer is smudged to the right and the colors dont blend in toghether correctly is already downloaded lastest drivers, and i made a user and the problem still persists, i downloaded the troubleshotter and it says there is no problem, i downland latest windows updates , i checked windows experience index

when i search window color and i click it all the comes up is a box titled "Windows color and appearince" but its not the one with the colors its

TWO things come up when i search (change window glass colors)
-change the theme
-change windows color and metrics

When i click change theme the personalize window comes up

Are you sure it's an activated copy of Windows? Sometimes it "de-activates" itself, if it fails a check. This will turn off Aero.

I wonder turning off Aero for weak processors, might help on the game front, that if you cpu limited?
well not just for the game front, but anything that requires a litte extra from the cpu.

1) my system can cope, and 2) love the gloss..

My Computer>Right Click>Select "Properties">Scroll Down>And it will say.

If you scroll down on the "Personalize" window, can you see what theme you have enabled? Are you sure it's not a high contrast one?

I'm going to separate your first paragraph into two parts to help us better understand your problem.

You say that the monitor is "smudged" on the right side and the colors don't blend well. You also say that you tried various methods of downloading high-tech fixes to correct the problem but they failed. Have you considered that the monitor is damaged? If so then it doesn't matter how many drivers you download - you will always have that problem.

Here are some questions you could answer for us. Does this "smudging" appear when you play any of your games? Or does this only happen in the Desktop under Aero? The question you should probably answer is whether this is a universal problem across all of the programs you use.

Is there any possibility that you could take a photo with your cellphone and upload it so that we could see what is going on ourselves?

If you've downloaded some sort of troubleshooting program and it doesn't have a solution then look for something physical. Check the wires and make sure that the cable from the system to the monitor is seated well. Maybe it's as simple as that. Good luck!

At this point you're going to have to explain your use of the word "Blending". From the picture you provided that looks like what I'd expect an Aero screen to look like. The problem is that the screen grab is so low a resolution that we really can't see anything.

At this point I'm going to gently suggest that maybe your problem is more to do with perception than with anything technical. If the color blend doesn't work for you then try another theme under Aero or switch to Windows Classic mode and see if the problem corrects itself.

As you say this problem does not happen with your games then that leaves little else to check. I'm not aware of any driver conflicts that Win7 has with the GTX250 regarding Aero. That may be a good place to check.

I'd suggest playing around with graphical settings on the Desktop to try to get a feeling for it. I think you're crying foul when there is nothing there. Good luck!

you know what, with that picture since my colors dont blend well maybe thats the picture but since the computer you looked it up on doesnt have any problems then it looked good ...

To confirm Aero theme is working or not press "Windows+Tab" key, if you can see the opened windows in form of slideshows then it's enabled.

If it's disabled then press "Windows+R" to open the run command dialog box and type "services" to open it. In it you will find a service called "Theme", restart it otherwise and set it to automatic if not.

If you are running win7 try this:

"This is a very simple task,if your not sure if Aero is enabled,go to Action Center,click on troubleshooting,in the list you will see Appearance and Personalization,under that heading click on Run Display Aero Desktop Effects,problem solved."

no it is still that light blue color after i restart it, when i try to change the color from appearance and personalization this comes up

im wondering that addon your using to put icons at the bottom since that isnt a windows feature or tool or gadget, as far as im aware whos to say a windows update didnt bork that little handy dandy app you have there? just a thought.

screen also flickers alot but its probably the monitor E24WFPS DELL
