    Default Serious gameplay problems

Love the Mod concept guys, but I'm having a lot of trouble with playing the game. I've got a lot of crash bugs, from crashes when I've booted the game, to crash instances where I've won battles, to crashes for no reason after one or two turns with a faction, to crashes when I've simply selected factions.

I've had a few boot crashes, three at least, not counting the problems with adjusting settings to get things working properly.

    Four victory crashes.
-One playing as Reikland after I invaded the Beastman Temple and won, the game had an 'unspecified error' and crashed.
-One playing as Hockland after coming to the aid of the Elves on turn two. Again, an unspecified error.
-Twice playing as Sylvania after attacking Midenhiem and winning the battles.

I've had at least six crashes when I've played as Sylvania on any turn from 3-10, I've never gotten past turn ten with them.

I've had selection crashes for Hockland, Reikland, Sylvania, Elves, Dwarves, and Slaneesh.

I did the Torrent Download from the link, unzipped and everything like the instructions said, I haven't added any sub-mods or done any editing to the gameplay. I have steam but Medieval II Kingdoms isn't linked to it at all. Is there a major problem with my PC on this one? I've got the Third Age of Total War to run fine, and I'm completely fine when playing Empire, Napoleon and the basic Medieval II games so it's not a performance issue. I'm running on Windows Vista and have a 5.4 windows test rating for my system and preformance.

Can anybody shed any light on this for me because I have been excited about playing this mod since I found it and really wanna sink my teeth into the Warhammer game, but unfortunately, I'm getting foiled in my attempts.

I used the straight Torrent download, 1.4.4 full English. I tried to delete the bad folders and got most of them except for the better water and 'base maps' folder in the data/world folder, couldn't find it. Still trying, but I just got another crashbug for Reikland on turn 5 after defeating an orc attack.

Question though, the instructions to delete the call_of_warhammer/data/world/maps/base, I can't find a folder labeled 'base' in the 'maps' one, I find one that's labeled 'campaign' is that the one that's supposed to be deleted?

I've deleted every file that is pegged for me to delete, but I'm still getting a crash after winning a battle.

The torrent you dled could be bugged. Not sure when it was created and to what extent it was tested and if it is old, whether it was updated correctly with fixes prior to upload. On the Russian COW site, they have an all-in-one download (in Russian of 1.4.4. that includes 1.4.1+1.4.2+1.4.3) in Russian. Download this and use it to update your 1.4.4 torrent. At this point make a backup. Then apply the English translation fix (latest). After you apply translation, do all that suggested in the 1st page of the 1.4.4 important info thread.

You need to use only the Russian patches and versions for updates. Mixing the English translation and Russian patches results in CTDs. English translation should go last, after all patches. Also, make sure that everything is going to the correct directory.

For me this version is very very stable. I dwnloaded the complete package, from this ink Call of Warhammer: Total War 1.4 + patch 1.4.3 - СiЧъ Total WarS,

No crashes whatsoever except the blasted Unspecified Exception, which I aas I understand isnt the mods problem and more the m2tw engine. It does happen everynow and then though

Huh. Strange. I have installed full torrent myself and english voices sub-mod and have no major problems. Only sometimes game crashes randomly (but mostly after script battles). Try to re-install everything and be sure to follow all instructions. And actually you can see in log what causing crashes

Strange, I used the Torrent download that RedDwarf posted on the torrent list. I just ripped out and deleted the entire program and I'm gonna try everything over, including the Torrent download.

And oddly enough, the mod seems to have deleted all my save games for the Third Age Total War...

try to solve the virtual store problem as here http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=397636

    Use the third solution:
    3) Instead, there is solution that avoids having to disable any Vista/Windows 7 features altogether. How? By removing the security concerns about your Med2 install. You will tell the operating system that Med2 is trustworthy in your opinion, and that the OS won't need to worry about virtualizing its files to protect you!

Here is how do to it:
