How old can Special Characters get?

Basically the what the title suggests. How old can special characters such as; Aragorn, Gandalf, Saruman etc. become? I'm asking because Aragorn is at the age of 57 or so in my campaign, and I'm rather worried about his retinues. This gives me a following question, will his retinues(the one supposed to be the crown of former Arnor in particular) be automatically given to the next faction leader or will they dissapear? If they will dissapear then I'm going to manually give them to my faction heir before he dies.

I personally don't know how old those heroes can get, but I'm pretty sure that when Aragorn dies you cannot make arnor anymore. Is retinue is lost when he dies, as far as I know.

Q: How do I play as Arnor? I can't find this faction in the campaign selection screen.
A: Arnor is an emergent faction that Eriador transforms into when certain conditions are met. These conditions are communicated to the player via the description of Aragorn's ancillary called Elendilmir which represents the crown of Arnorian kings. Simply mouse over the ancillary and read its tooltip.

Lol, that's pretty comforting considering he's like 37 in my campaign.

Oh, and by the 'White Tower', which tower do you mean? My spontanious guess would be the against the High Elves, but why would you attack an ally?

Although thats what I though of to be fair I dont think that Minas Tirith is ever called the white tower even though it has the tower of Ecthelion (which I dont think is ever called the white tower either) meanwhile the elves have white towers (which I think is their actual name) near the Gray havens. So maybe use proper names next time.

There is no possibility to rebuild Arnor or Lindon if Aragorn or Elrond die... That is how it's meant to be played... I believe that same applies on Grenwood the Great rebuild scenario, but i'm not sure...

if playing MOS and choose rebuild elven kingdoms you can restore Lindon...

After named characters turn 90 there is a chance every turn that they die. This chance increases every 5 or so years and become 100% when they turn 130 AFAIK.

He's like 56 or so now, only thing I need to do is builid the wretched building in that wretched town. I feel bad, since I read somewhere that the AI gets Arnor around turn 85.

P.S: I'm around turn 100, thus I feel like a failure, lol.

The AI doesn't get Arnor at turn 85, it's given Arnor. Getting it at turn 100something is an accomplishment!

Now I'm rather proud instead!

But I don't have Arnor yet, though. Need the building in the City that starts with an 'A'(not to be confused with the nordic letter 'Ä' .
