Go down to my post where the map.zip file is YOU NEED THIS OR IT WONT WORK!

If you replace descr_strat, you have to delete map.rwm in the "base" folder.

You need to either include your map.rwm file, or whomever downloads this will have to delete their file and allow the game to generate a new one based off of the changes you made to descr_strat. Otherwise the changes will not take effect.

good job... however if you want to remove Aragorn's Steward ancillary it's not some hard work. in descr_start.txt go to Aragorn's name, and then in the third line you have ancillary (there are written all the ones he will have from the beggining of the game), so you just delete the unwanted one...

Yes but won't the game award the ancillary to the faction leader of Gondor automatically?

as shown here, the game gives this anc to fl, but that is easy to change. just put 0 instead o 100 for chance and the ancillary will not be acquirable... or better still, change the name shown on game of this ancillary.

Wait, you're saying that the strat map model is of Faramir? I'll change that and I'm working on a custom bodyguard for Aragorn. I'll probably have new uploaded files later today.

if you only added and didn't remove steward ancillary or did as i suggested, then Aragorn will recieve both of them... and that is something you want to avoid don't you...?

i would suggest the following:

1) obtain the Steward of Gondor ancillary
2) go to descr_strat.txt file and search for Denethor; there is line that starts with ancillaries; add the SoG anc tio him there
3) go to exportd-desc_anc.txt; search for SoG ann in trigger section; and change the trigger to this:

;--------------------------- Trigger SoG1 WhenToTest FatherDiesNatural Condition FatherAnc (put the name of SoG anc here) AcquireAncillary SoG chance 100

and:

Trigger2

;--------------------------- Trigger SoG2 WhenToTest PostBattle Condition GeneralWithAncKilled sog and fatherAnc SoG AcquireAncillary SoG chance 100

now, this secon Trigger under generalWithAncillaryKilled requires ancillary type, so under the general ancillary information(above trigger section of eda.txt) you change the type of SoG from court to sog and use that.
