new download site

can we please get a new download site that isnt a torrent? i am sick of being told i have to pay to download just 400 mb because i havent purchased the premium package

Red Dwarf has a torrent up, check it out in the bugs and fix forum. no idea why its there in the first place anyway, it should be on the main page and stickied.

Glad to see someone else voicing my concerns. I finally have the free time to get back into M2TW and give the new version a go and I find it a bit much to pay $9 to download a single file. I'd rather not download 11 different parts just because I don't want to become a premium member.

A different site that isn't so restrictive on the non-premium users would be greatly appreciated.

You dont have to pay anything; you download the 11 parts, one at a time, and when you unstuff the first the other follow suit and you have the package. If your connection is a little slow it may take a while but it's totally worth it.

I'm aware of that, and it's what I'm currently doing.

It's not a huge deal but, having the whole thing in one file without needing to pay would be really nice.

the only way i was able to do it was with the torrent thing,which i know absolutly nothing about.it was the first torrent i'd ever done,and reddwarf was kind enough to take me through the whole process and it worked flawlessly.
i compleatly understand any reservations you may have about this torrent stuff but what with me being a normal working man and something of a computer luddite,and the other ways of doing this being very confusing at best and at worst gobbledegook the torrent was the only way i was liable to ever play this mod.

Should see if we can get something up on megaupload, which has up to 1.5mb speed download without being part of the service for files up to 900mb I think.
