While I'm working on v3 here is a taste with v2, biggest change:
4 named generals for the Teutonic Order at the beginning of the campaign and all have a new bodyguard unit
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
- Download the attached file and extract it on your desktop
- Place everything in Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.4\data\campaign\sub
- Run Medieval II Total War\mods\SS6.4\SS_setup.exe
- Select late era, Teutonic Order's Royal Family and any other submod you wish to use.
Great submod ... I always was, kind of, reluctant to choose TO because of the "royal family" issue.
Ok... my question is the following: i can have princess's with this, yes? (I mean like Venice or England, with no issues or anything).
l.e.: thank you bane

Yes
Inquiry: its been more than 20 turns now and I have 2 male children, one of 18 years old and another of 14 and they are still "children"... neither came of age, whilst 2 princesses came of age correctly. Bug or for TO it's a different age?
I think it's a bug, you should try reinstalling the mod :S
I need you to upload your save and your descr_campaign_db.xml. Also please state what submods you are using.
As a submod, along with this one, I am using ReallyBadAI (also in the ss setup panel are ticked: savage AI, BGR2, permanent arrows/watchtowers).
p.s. I am playing with multiple factions (depends my mood) so, for example, when I play with Venice I run ss_setup again and disable Teutonic Order's Royal Family submod.
Well Michel of Salza came of age right in the next turn at age 19, although your file indicates it should have been earlier.
I can only assume that the value was set higher when Michel was born, any male born after that should mature at the age currently in your xml file.
Great ... thank you!
Im having the same problem using Meneths submod with your TO mod.
Im not clear on what I am supposed to paste and where though. Is your entire sub/teutonicorderroyalfamily/descr_strat.txt
supposed to be copied into
ss6.4/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign/descr_strat.txt ?
Or just copy
character Heidenrich Gattersleben, spy, male, age 23, x 232, y 249
traits NaturalSpySkill 2
character Jan Helmschmied, priest, male, age 34, x 226, y 238
traits NaturalPriestSkill 2 , GoodDenouncer 2 , PriestLevel 1 ?
I tried both ways and both ways get the same error when running setup.
It keeps saying
"Error while processing TeutonicOrderRoyalFamily.txt
File data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign\descr_strat.txt does not contain:
traits NaturalPriestSkill 2, GoodDenouncer 2, PriestLevel 1
Operation aborted."
Would it be easier, like you said, to just delete these lines out of your mod? if so, what exactly needs to be deleted?
Sorry for the trouble.
Thanks for your time
As you quoted MSC is missing the "trailing white-spaces" thanks to the "cleanup" done by Meneth.
So my mod (now assuming you are using TeutonicOrderRoyalFamily_v2.rar) is looking for
"traits NaturalPriestSkill 2, GoodDenouncer 2, PriestLevel 1 "
while you only have
"traits NaturalPriestSkill 2, GoodDenouncer 2, PriestLevel 1".
I'm not really sure on what you are doing, which is why I've attached a version modified to look for
"traits NaturalPriestSkill 2, GoodDenouncer 2, PriestLevel 1" below.
Replace your current one and try again, and if possible reverse any changes you did to your game files because of this.
Ah, gotcha.
Thanks Bane.
Guys why does everytime I start Teutonic Campaign its like Im in the middle of a turn? is there any way to fix this?? I only have the 6.3 and 6.4 but I'm planning to add this one.
Hi bane,
I cant seem to start msc with your TO mod.
Every time I try to start any campaign with your mod (even with Teutonic), I was brought back to the menu page.
Is there any solution?
Thanks =)
go to your start menu, hover over ss6.4 and click the system file and then paste the contents here
I really like this Submod. But just one request, Ritterbrüder and not Ritterbrüders
Ritterbrüder is already the plural, as Ritterbruder is the singular.
