    somehow, I'm not exactly sure, the death of a general is now just an announcement, instead of zooming to where he dies. where would i go to turn this back on?

    Yeah that happened to me too one time open the medieval2.preferences.cfg with notepad and set it:-

    disable_events = 0
    It will be one should be zero
