I interviewed the rank 1 & 2 players on the shogun ladder and we get to review one of their replays as we go over their winning strategy. Any 2s team will want to watch this and learn what they can from these experts. Check out the interview

Lol you do know both of them practice alt+f4ing and have friends lose to them in battles right?
They are weak players... And yea, the ladder boards are more of a "I pull plug more then you so I have no losses" board, rather then showing the skill of a player.
Yeah I'd play 2v2's using those types of strategies in RTW. Nothing too original, but they have good micro and are on the right track.
And yes, with the ranking/stat bugs and rage-quit abuse, there's no way you can establish elites. They need to fix/reset it.
Good micro is charging 4 cav at 1 unit? wow i must have missed something..

Nice interview! It's always nice to hear what the best players have to say, although like KittySN mentioned, maybe the rankings are too messed up at the moment to see who the real pros are.
Swoosh, you must understand that 9/10 people are noobs in this game. Most of them do not know what true micro is. Also you and I both know that the players in this interview are very horrible compared to players such as ourselves who are real Total War pros who have played from the start.
Nobody cares about you being a "pro" if nobody knows who you are, so... ...who are you? Have you posted videos so we can criticize your tactics and micro? Back up your words with action. Impress us and we might care, otherwise you sound like jealous, trash-talking trolls. And you must understand I have low standards to the phrase "good micro" because I've seen plenty more "bad micro," not that micro is at all important in this series to begin with: Total War games are ridiculously simple to play.
Hmm. 1vs1 ? 2vs2 ? Me and Swoosh can beat anyone on this forum probably besides a few players.
Also if you think Shogun isn't a micro depedent game then your obviously fooling yourself. I go around 160 APM in most Total War games besides Nap and Empire.
Also I have never heard of you ever at all.
Anytime you or anyone who wants to talk like you do wanna play then sure let me know I will play. Ill even play vs the guys in the video. Blobbing your units in small ? They have no real formation. It's horrible play.
Your part of the problem in this community. You think because some people spam monk units in 22k games its called skill. It's not.
Newho trash talking aside add me on steam if you would like to play a game vs me.
CarnalityMTW is my steam add. Also to anyone else out there who would like to play me go for it. Ill post replays in here of my wins if anyone wants to try me.
Also to the Sith guy are you really gonna try to act like a pro ? You guys got beat down in RTW by Arcani... now thats pathetic.
Sorry for my trash talk but seriously. You guys don't like what I say and come at me like that ill back it up add me and lets play.

That kind of just died down, actually. :3 Arcani moved to some other TW game and we stayed on RTW. We're also still very active in RTW, so how could you say we got destroyed? I've seen Arcani once since that was before my time, and they lacked any skill on RTW, but that makes sense since they're on different games. Would you like a match in RTW?
Also, you should realize we're not insulting your skill, having most of us not played you, but we're just saying you're being a cocky ass right now.

Lol I love Swoosh. :]
Also Kitty when did I direct anything at you in my first post ? I didn't. Then you gave your post. I think you need to read. :]
Night I do not believe Kas is active. Haven't seen him in ages tbh.
Swoosh dont lie to these people! We are lovers!
I dont care about how good you may or may not be, but 160 apm is ENTIRELY superfluous in this game. At a max 20 units thats giving at least 8 orders to each of your units individualy per minute. not only is this unneccessary due to extra commands to go somewhere adding NOTHING to the order, but in a game such as this unlike starcraft for example, would be almost impossible unless you had all 20 units hotkeyed and mashing through them and clicking repeatedly where you want them to go.
On top of this most of the actions from starcraft comes from production hotkeys such as having your barracks hotkeyed to 4 and hitting 4 aaaaaaa to create 7 marines in a second providing a very high APM. There is no comprable way to have effective high apm in TWS2 unless you are cycling through all your units and spamming SHIFT-1 to go into loose formation or something.
At the fastest you have to play this game to be good id expect 60 APM, which is still 1 sperate action every single second which in a game perhaps with higher in the middle when you are microing units round other uits perhaps and far far less at the start. At the beggining of the match you can EASILY do everythnig youneed to off of 10 APMand later on even 100 would be unneccessary. In total war games precision of positioning is FAR more important than telling a unit to go in a vague direction 8 times in a 3 times a second.
